THE Champion
OCONEE STINGRAYS
STINGRAYS COMPETITIVE TEAM
The Stingrays compete as members of the Oconee Swim League, with the goal of winning the League Championship at the end of each season. Despite these competitive goals, maintaining a fun and family-friendly environment is our top priority as our Stingray practices and meets.
We teach all four competitive strokes: freestyle, backstroke, butterfly, and breaststroke. Swimmers aged 4-18 can participate, and all swimmers - from those who have competed for years to those who are swimming their first summer season - are welcomed on our team. We believe that summer swim is an avenue for swimmers to fall in love with the sport, learn valuable life lessons like teamwork and perseverance, and build memories that they can carry with them for a lifetime.
THE MEANING OF BEING A STINGRAY

COMMITMENT TO PRACTICES AND MEETS
The Stingrays practice Monday-Friday in the mornings at the Oconee Club during the regular season. Since we are competative group, it is important that the stingrays understand that they need to prioritze meets and practices, most importantly the championship meet. They must attend at least TWO meets in order to participate in the championship meet. More details on times and meet dates can be found on the schedule page.
COMMITMENT TO THE 3 RULES
We at the stingrays pride ourselves on our positive attitude and kind nature. We want to be a team that is inclusive and support everyone regardless of their background or experience. With that in mind, we have three main rules that we beileve can help us acheive that: #1 Be Kind, #2 Work Hard, and #3 Have Fun.
